The Research Associates Program uses a rolling admission process, based on the date when all requirements are completed.

RAs serve their shifts in pairs, so there are eighty-four slots each semester

  • applications received after those slots are filled are placed on a "wait list"

During orientation, RAs choose their weekly shift in a lottery determined by:

  1. the number of semesters served as a RA                                                              - including productivity during those semesters
  2. special circumstances (e.g., travel time)
  3. and, most importantly, by date the application fee is received

Deadlines for COMPLETE (all 6 items on checklist) applications:

  • Summer 1 Semester 2012: Friday, 05/25/12
  • Summer 2 Semester 2012: Friday, 06/08/12
